Japanese Teas

Organic Sencha

Renowned as Japan's most popular green tea. Sencha represents about 80% of all the tea produced in Japan.

Sencha is a green tea that is produced from fresh green tea leaves that are cultivated in direct sunlight. Leaves are then steamed after being picked to prevent oxidation. Different than Chinese green teas which typically are pan-fired. This process gives Sencha it's unique grassy flavor with seaweed like features.

Sencha offers a pale yellow liquor with honey like golden hues. Due to the unique steaming process, you will exhibit notes of vegetal and fresh cut grass while savoring the creamy sweet finish. One sip and you will know why this is Japan's most popular green tea.
